Responsibilities
Design end-to-end OBIEE architecture, including RPD (Repository) modeling , presentation layer strategy, and subject area design
Define BI standards, best practices, and governance for OBIEE implementations
Architect scalable solutions supporting large data volumes and complex analytics use cases
Lead OBIEE platform upgrades, migrations (on-prem to cloud / OAC), and performance tuning initiatives
Oversee development of dashboards, reports, and analyses using OBIEE Answers and Dashboards
Design and maintain logical, physical, and presentation layers in RPD
Optimize query performance using aggregates, caching, and partitioning strategies
Manage OBIEE security (application roles, data-level security, LDAP integration)
Administer OBIEE servers, including configuration, deployment, and patching
Collaborate with data architects and ETL teams (ODI, Informatica, etc.) to ensure proper data modeling
Design dimensional and semantic models aligned with business KPIs
Validate data quality, lineage, and reconciliation between source systems and BI layer
Act as the technical lead for BI initiatives and mentor developers
Translate business requirements into BI architecture and technical designs
Provide guidance on BI strategy, roadmap, and tool modernization
Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live performance stabilization
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle OBIEE (11g / 12c)
Expert-level knowledge of RPD development and administration
Strong SQL and Oracle database expertise
Experience with BI security models and role-based access
Performance tuning of OBIEE queries and dashboards
Familiarity with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica, DataStage, etc.)
Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead architecture discussions and influence technical decisions
Detail-oriented with a focus on performance and data accuracy
8–12+ years in BI/Data Analytics
4–6+ years in OBIEE architecture or senior OBIEE development roles
Preferred
Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure)
Experience integrating OBIEE with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, Fusion, PeopleSoft)
Oracle BI / Analytics certifications (preferred)
