CNC Machinist/Programmer

Responsibilities

Interpret job specifications, blueprints, job orders, etc. and then program, set-up and run parts accordingly
Be a self-starter and understand accountability in a job shop environment
Work autonomously while also being a team player
Is willing and able to multi-task (deburr parts, perform inspections, program while machines are running)
Display a high degree of mechanical aptitude
Understand the complexities of various materials and how to machine them properly (hard metals, soft metals, plastics, etc.)
Understand and execute complex set-ups, while designing and creating fixtures to support your approaches
Is versatile, curious, motivated and able to overcome challenges as they arise
Candidate must have a firm understanding of a job shop environment and working for a small business (we are not a production shop, which means you get to program, setup and machine new parts on a daily basis)

Required

At least 7 years' experience in machining (either manual or CNC)
At least 5 years' experience programming and machining complex parts from various materials (primarily stainless steel) to correct specifications and tolerances
Proficient experience in using Mastercam
Has experience with Okuma Machining Centers and/or Mazak Lathes
