Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the central campus pantry
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and make requests for needed items to the supervisor
Ensure proper food storage, organization, and cleanliness
Provide direct, student-centered support to pantry users, including: Greet students and staff, assisting with item selection based on individual needs
Answering questions about pantry use and availability
Monitor usage trends to anticipate demand and restocking needs
Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers assigned to the central pantry
Schedule shifts and ensure adequate pantry coverage
Provide ongoing guidance and ensure volunteers follow pantry procedures and customer service expectations
Ensure compliance with food safety, storage, and handling regulations
Conduct regular safety and cleanliness checks
Maintain required records related to inventory, usage, and volunteers
Assist with reporting data related to pantry usage and operations
Coordinate with the multicampus Pantry & Outreach Coordinator to share data, needs, and best practices
Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Preferred
Experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
