Manufacturing Engineer - Intern
Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join their team at the Sherman, TX facility. The intern will support the production of electrical enclosures by enhancing efficiency through data analysis, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions while collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities
Work directly with the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop standard work instructions, perform time studies, develop operator loading and capacity charts
Assist with various continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives which may include participation in Kaizen or Rapid Improvement Events
Provide support for new product initiatives and production part validations
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a junior or senior pursuing a B.S degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum 3.0 GPA

Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Sherman, TX
Preferred
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or previous internship experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Collaborative and team focused
