Web Application Developer
MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking a Web Application Developer to support the Software Development Team in developing and maintaining web-based applications for unmanned rocket launches. The role involves maintaining existing Classic ASP applications, migrating them to modern ASP.NET frameworks, and implementing new features to meet mission requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers, Software Architects, clients, and other developers with requirements gathering analysis, design, and project planning
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
Perform modification, testing, and debugging of vendor-supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with current operating environment
Design, code, and maintain complex applications for efficiency and regular updates
Develop and implement SharePoint customizations and web parts using Visual Studio and .NET technologies
Implement new features and optimize existing functionality based on business requirements
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews
Develop and execute test plans for new and existing application functionality
Review and edit program and user documentation to ensure usability and accessibility
Maintain project plans, requirements and design documents, and other system documentation
Develop and maintain work procedures and instructions
Qualification
Required
Active DoD Secret clearance required
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Considering candidates with US Citizenship only
5+ years of software development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience with Classic ASP and modern ASP.NET frameworks
Familiarity with migrating legacy web applications to modern frameworks
.NET 4.x Framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET)
Entity Framework, AngularJS, SQL Server 2008/2012 (T-SQL queries, stored procedures)
HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar version control tools
Web Services (RESTful or Web API), XML
Experience with defect tracking and source code version control
Understanding of object-oriented programming in an n-tier architecture
Experience with at least two of the following: Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), SharePoint 2013, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Agile methodologies, Telerik Controls
Current CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
Self-starter with desire for continuous learning and greater responsibility
Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, diverse, and team-oriented environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines
Ability to prioritize and deal with frequent change
Ability to follow approved policies/guidelines
Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind and optimistic response
Requires occasional adjusted work hours (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet important product delivery deadlines and to support launches
Occasional local travel may be required
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. Naturalization
Valid U.S. driver's license is required

College Degrees must come from a school that is accredited in the discipline of the degree to be considered
