Staff Attorney
Atlanta Legal Aid Society seeks a Staff Attorney for its Clayton County Office. The role involves representing low-income individuals in various civil law matters, including housing, family law, public benefits, consumer issues, and education law through community education, brief service, advice and referral, transactional work, negotiation, mediation, and litigation.

Represent low-income persons in Clayton County in a wide variety of civil law matters, including housing, family law, public benefits, consumer issues, and education law

Qualification
Required
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
Applicants must possess excellent legal writing skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
Applicants must have the ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings, adaptability, and an appreciation for diversity
Demonstrated commitment to public service and prior work with low-income people is highly valued
Preferred
A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience is preferred
Experience in civil areas, including housing or consumer law, is highly valued
Proficiency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is highly valued
