Administrative Officer 2 - Public Utility Commission
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Administrative Officer to support the Bureau of Consumer Services. This role involves HR coordination, administrative functions, and providing support to Bureau leadership while supervising administrative staff and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with consumers, utility executives, stakeholders, and Commission staff
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, email systems, SAP, and Adobe Acrobat to perform daily administrative and analytical tasks
Ability to learn and use Commission systems, including Infomap, the Customer Account Information (CAI) system, and other internal applications
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and summarize written correspondence, reports, and policy documents
Ability to compile, track, and analyze data, prepare reports, monitor expenditures, and present results in a clear and organized manner
Ability to review and process payroll, leave, overtime, and timesheets in accordance with SAP requirements and Commonwealth policies
Ability to coordinate and process staff travel, including booking arrangements and preparing expense reports in compliance with travel policies
Ability to learn, interpret, and apply Commonwealth, Commission, and Bureau policies and procedures to assigned duties
Ability to assign, review, and monitor the work of Administrative Assistants, provide training, and ensure adherence to established procedures and performance standards
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel, financial, and operational information in accordance with Commonwealth requirements
Ability to develop charts, tables, and visual materials to support reports, presentations, and decision making
Ability to operate standard office equipment, including printers, copiers, scanners, and telecommunication systems
Ability to maintain and update administrative manuals, procedures, and reference materials to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Ability to support COOP responsibilities, including maintaining continuity documentation and participating in planning activities
Regular attendance at your headquarters’ worksite or any assigned work location
Qualification
Required
One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
