InternWSSC Water is seeking a Student Intern for their Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). This role involves performing routine laboratory duties and analyses while adhering to standard procedures and guidelines, as well as providing general information system support.

Responsibilities
Working with MS Office, instruments software and current Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Maintains, cleans, prepares glassware, and other laboratory appliances for the use in analytical procedures
Transports and prepares samples, including pouring, filtering, and splitting
Performs a variety of chemical, microbiological, and physical analyses on aqueous and non-aqueous samples
Maintains records of all processes involving samples
Ability to access database for sample information and data uploading
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
General knowledge of laboratory principles, terminology, techniques, and instrumentation
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Ability to use and maintain personal protective safety equipment
Ability to collect and prepare samples for analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality control requirements
Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
Ability to use Microsoft Office; such as Word and Excel
Completion of 1+ years college coursework in Chemistry/Microbiology or IT
Proficient using MS Office Applications
