Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting production and development teams, resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, and developing new designs and tooling.

Updating drawings and assembly parts lists
Developing new designs and tooling
Supporting hardware operations and providing support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations, as well as supplier support
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree with a strong academic record
Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, Solidworks, MATLAB, etc
Demonstrated successful group collaboration and/ or individual project work, ideally in an mechanics or design areas
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to get a security clearance
Preferred
Hands‑on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3‑D printers, test rigs)
Exposure to GD&T, sketching, technical drawing standards, or similar hands-on hardware support
Basic FEA/CFD exposure (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL) or willingness to learn
Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g., SAE, ASME competitions)
Basic understanding of industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
