Responsibilities

Responsible for the comprehensive management of all building-related functions, providing or procuring essential services for the effective operation of assigned buildings
Monitors services contracts that are fixed price to ensure administrative and funding requirements are met, and payments are made accordingly
Develops acquisition strategies, conducts technical reviews and develops cost benefit analysis to determine the most effective methods of meeting program/project goals and objectives
Performs inspections to ensure that DOD tenants are receiving the services to which they are entitled to and ensures lessors are in compliance with the leases
Makes recommendations regarding problems and/or issues to improve building management services
Responsible for conducting continuing surveillance of facilities to include maintenance, repair, alterations, modifications and environmental remediation work in accordance with regulations, official polices and established procedures

Must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or mandatory overtime
This position requires the Selectee to travel 25% of the time or less, away from the normal duty station via military or commercial aircraft
This is a 'Mission Essential' position and required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergency situations causing disruptions of government operations
Mission Essential employees are required to maintain contact with their supervisor during any dismissal or closure situation unless specifically excused by their supervisor
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates the following: Overseeing building-related functions and operations (i.e. energy conservation, building inspections, tenant moves, building services, preventative maintenance, custodial services, lease enforcement, space management, acquisition, occupant emergency program, security, safety, recycling, and joint space parking) to include service contracts and assisting with cost analysis; Performing building inspections and making recommendations for improving building management services; AND Overseeing all maintenance, repair, alterations, modifications and environmental remediation work to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, polices, and procedures
