Sr. Internal Communications Strategist
BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis region. The Senior Internal Communications Strategist will lead internal communications efforts, develop comprehensive strategies, and foster an engaged workforce across various clinical and administrative environments.

Responsibilities
Leads and manages internal and/or external communications across multiple HSOs and/or on behalf of BJC Shared Services for the entire organization. Utilizes appropriate communication methods and tools to target information to diverse and segmented/targeted audiences. Manages work of C&M team members and Shared Services team members
Conducts and/or oversees research, interviews, writing, editing, approvals, coordination of production of collateral materials; or logistics surrounding proactive and reactive media opportunities, including crisis communications; assists HSO PIO in command center. Reviews/edits/counsels on revisions to ensure communications deliverables align with plan objectives and HSO strategic goals
Analyzes communications challenges and provides recommendations to HSO management, or other teams, regarding special communications needs to develop communication strategies and plans to support their business plans. Provides strategic counsel on issues management and crisis response. May serve as HSO spokesperson or PIO
Develops and implements multimedia projects/campaigns, events/media relations plans for internal and external audiences. Oversees project work assigned to other team members, including Shared Services resources. Accountable for client relations and overall results, including meeting or exceeding team and project deadlines
Identifies areas where there are opportunities to improve communication efforts. Creates and implements plans to effectively address deficiencies. Evaluates effectiveness and proactively seeks opportunities for ongoing improvement. Monitors and tracks internal and/or external communications issues and concerns, and prepares reports to support internal and/or external communications planning initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of experience
Strong background in communications
Communication planning
Change management
Employee engagement within large, matrixed organizations
Preferred
Master's Degree
