Responsibilities
Identify located utilities to prevent damage
Locate unmarked utilities and customer-owned equipment (e.g., dog fences, irrigation systems)
Restore job sites to their original condition after work completion
Interpret work drawings and instructions, completing necessary paperwork
Review all requested and existing services with customers before installing new drops
Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable
Use handheld units for retrieving and clearing job tasks
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
Document all tasks, timely and accurately
Ensure responsibility for any damages incurred during work
Qualification
Required
Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable
The ability to walk 1/2 mile + while operating following a drop plow that places service cable
Ability to work the schedule including overtime as needed
Strong verbal and written communication ability
Ability to work independently or as a team player
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Willingness to travel as needed
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license required
Completion of background and MVR checks required
Ability to walk over ½ mile while operating a drop plow for cable installation
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
