Crystal Growth Technician - Lattice

The Partner Companies is looking to expand their Crystal Growth Team at Lattice Materials. As a Crystal Growth Technician, you will work hands-on with equipment to grow high-quality crystals and monitor growth parameters to ensure optimal crystal structure for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain crystal growth furnaces and associated equipment
Prepare raw materials and charge compositions according to defined specifications
Monitor and control growth parameters (temperature, pulling rate, rotation speed, atmosphere) during crystal growth runs
Conduct quality control inspections, including dimensional measurements, visual inspections, and defect analysis
Perform qualification analysis of grown crystals
Generate material reports for customers
Maintain detailed records of growth procedures, conditions, and results
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and assist with routine maintenance and calibrations
Follow protocols and adhere to safety and environmental regulations

Required

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Physics or closely related engineering field is desired, but not essential
Experience in crystal growth production is desired but not necessary
Experience in handling high purity materials and processes
Experience with the assembly, preventative maintenance and operation of crystal growth equipment, or other complex processing machines
Strong hands-on skills in electrical and mechanical systems
Strong computer skills
Detail orientation skills
Ability to multi-task
Communication skills
Problem-solving ability
Demonstrated ability to apply advanced math to the job
To conform to U.S. Government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
