Finance Officer ADMINISTRATOR III SUPERVISOR
The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) is dedicated to positively changing the lives of Marylanders through various support services. The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the agency's budget, overseeing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with state procedures.

Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining accountability of agency operating budget of $9.3 million dollars
Prepare budgets and special payments for payroll to ensure that future funds are available when needed
Oversee preparation of state budgeting reports, and annual Fiscal Year Close out for all fiscal procedures
Direct, plan and control all aspects of administrative support services for all areas of the local department
Liaison with DGS personnel in requesting necessary services, modifications and supplies
Ensure agency's compliance with various retention schedules for the State warehouse in Jessup, as well as permanent retention schedules
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Six years of administrative staff or professional work
Preferred
One year of experience using Financial Management Information System (FMIS)
One year of experience creating spreadsheets in Excel
One year of experience analyzing budgets and fiscal audits
