They are seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, managing month-end and year-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications in compliance with company policies and GAAP
Manage and maintain sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliation process, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely and effective manner
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, supply chain, manufacturing) to ensure correct accounting treatment for business activities
Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) transactions; assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations
Analyze and interpret complex financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations to drive business decisions
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring documentation is complete
Maintain and document internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements or other regulatory frameworks
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Lead and develop a team of staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise to perform their duties effectively
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience
At least 5 years focused on general ledger / technical accounting
3+ years in a leadership or management role
Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting principles
Proven ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team
Ability to work on site in an office environment
Ability to visit warehouse or production floor environments, which may require PPE and occasional light lifting (up to 25 Ibs)
Willingness to travel up to ~10%
Preferred
Master's degree
CPA or CPA candidate
Training or familiarity with SOX/internal controls
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry
