Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program under the direction of the EHS Officer
Assists with implementation & improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
Assists with improvements to recycling, reuse, and waste reduction programs
Assist with improvements to the PPE assessments
Assist with the implementation of Environmental Objectives and Targets
Inspect fall protection & spill response equipment
Work with all departments to update chemical inventories and Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) in an online system
Assists with other projects, as assigned by the EHS Officer
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing B.S. in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2 college semesters complete
Ability to multitask
Assist with the implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program under the direction of the EHS Officer
Assists with implementation & improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
Assists with improvements to recycling, reuse, and waste reduction programs
Assist with improvements to the PPE assessments
Assist with the implementation of Environmental Objectives and Targets
Inspect fall protection & spill response equipment
Work with all departments to update chemical inventories and Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) in an online system
Assists with other projects, as assigned by the EHS Officer
Interested in working in a manufacturing or laboratory setting in the Environmental, Health & Safety field upon graduation
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
Ability to work independently and multitask
