Assistant Attorney General (Medicaid Fraud Unit)

The Oregon Department of Justice is seeking an attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Unit. This role involves investigating and prosecuting Medicaid fraud cases, collaborating with various law enforcement agencies, and leading a team of professionals in addressing health-care fraud.

Responsibilities

Handle state criminal investigations and prosecutions
Lead a staff of investigators, auditors, a nurse investigator and data analysts
Collaborate with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies on virtually every case
Work with assistant attorney generals from other state MFCUs to investigate and resolve Medicaid fraud issues

Qualification

Oregon State Bar membershipCriminal litigation experienceProsecuting criminal casesOral advocacy skillsWritten advocacy skillsMulti-disciplinary teamworkCommitment to public service

Required

Active membership and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar at time of appointment
At least seven (7) years of criminal litigation experience
Willingness and availability to travel

Preferred

Commitment to public service
Strong oral and written advocacy skills
Extensive experience prosecuting criminal cases
History of working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams

Benefits

Base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS
