Responsibilities
Process and Underwrite consumer loan packages for HELOC products
Review and evaluate credit report data
Underwrite income, appraisals, title commitments, required documents, etc. to ensure that they meet standard consumer loan guidelines
Assist with department Pipeline coordination, including pipeline management of own files; and monitoring for timeliness
Order various documents based on loan requirements
Ensure that the loan file complies with all loan policies and federal regulations
Work with lenders to ensure timely processing of files to adhere to internal policy and federal regulations
Prepare the closing package with instructions
Prepare early disclosures for HELOCs adhering to requirements for coverage, timeliness, and delivery
Decision loan files within individual lending authority limits
Refer loan files to the appropriate authority for decisions outside the individual lending authority
Process Adverse Action files, adhering to regulatory requirements
Assists with post-close file review and management
Assist in post-close exception follow-up and clearing
HMDA reporting
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent education required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of working experience
3+ years of consumer loan and/or mortgage experience preferred
Word and Excel knowledge and experience
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Organizational skills, detail-oriented, customer service skills, math skills, ability to work independently and under pressure/against deadlines
Multi-tasking skills is a requirement
Must be able to make decisions and use good judgment
Ability to take on responsibilities from Team Leader and Department Manager as needed
A positive attitude and team-oriented are a must
Preferred
3+ years of consumer loan and/or mortgage experience preferred
