The role involves building financial systems, creating budgets, and leading accounting upgrades in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
Build financial dashboards that leadership can act on
Create individualized program budgets & analyze cost centers
Explain revenue/expense variances clearly and confidently
Lead major components of an upcoming accounting system upgrade
Establish a compliance calendar to track key deadlines
Conduct “financial forensics” to strengthen controls & policies
Support payroll’s transition back into the accounting department
Qualification
Required
Strong non-profit accounting experience
Deep understanding of grants, restrictions, and revenue recognition
A proactive mindset — you spot improvements before being asked
Strong organizational and calendaring skills
Comfort working through unknowns and building new processes
High integrity and unwavering confidentiality
Preferred
Experience with accounting system upgrades (bonus!)
Payroll experience (Paycom is a plus)
