Responsibilities
Assists with process analysis and improvements
Assists with updating policies and procedures. May answer difficult customer correspondence, hardship, and settlement requests
Handles day-to-day system issues
Compiles statistical reports. May provide help to collections staff regarding difficult phone calls and correspondence
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Four years of experience in finance and accounting
Specialized systems requirements may be identified and required by the hiring manager
Or Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in finance and accounting
Or Bachelor's degree, completion of the Financial Management Training Program (FMT), and one year of experience in finance and accounting
Strong Accounting / Finance Background
Understanding of reconciliation processes (daily, monthly, periodic)
Knowledge of general ledger, sub‑ledgers, bank and credit card reconciliations
Familiar with balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, liabilities, receivables, etc
Comfortable working with large volumes of transactional data
Ability to interpret matching algorithms and resolve exceptions
Proficiency in Excel (advanced: pivot tables, lookups, formulas) or similar tools
Some exposure to database queries (SQL) or data import/export formats may help
Familiarity with SaaS software / cloud deployments
Understanding of reporting tools / dashboards. ReconNET includes visualization / reporting features
Good grasp of workflow / exception tracking within software
Knowledge of internal controls, risk management
Audit trail awareness. Data integrity, validation, posting controls
Ability to identify patterns/trends in data, spot anomalies
Strong attention to detail
Ability to document and resolve exceptions
Can explain reconciliation results and exceptions clearly to stakeholders (finance team, auditors, management)
Ability to work cross-functionally with IT / data teams to get required data feeds or to troubleshoot
Ability to configure matching rules, tolerance thresholds, exceptions workflows in ReconNET
Setting up automated workflows, data mappings, import schedules
Experience bringing financial systems online: extracting/transformation/loading (ETL) of data
Integrations with bank feeds, external systems (credit card platforms, treasury, etc.)
Dashboard/report configuration. Defining KPIs. Manipulating data inside ReconNET Advanced Reporting
Exporting data for further analysis
Knowledge of IT security, data privacy, possibly experience with IAM, MFA, SSO
Understanding version control, deployments (if customizations/extensions are used)
For upgrades, roll‑outs, training
Documenting requirement gathering, user acceptance, training users
