Director - Senior Director, Research

Responsibilities
Develop and implement scientific and strategic plans for research, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements
Lead and direct ADC discovery research and development programs from discovery through IND-enabling studies
Oversee antibody selection, conjugation strategies, linker-payload optimization, and preclinical characterization
Drive translational research efforts to optimize target selection, biomarker strategies, and mechanisms of action to enhance clinical success
Collaborate closely with chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, bioanalytical, and CMC teams to advance candidates toward IND submission
Partner cross-functionally with regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from preclinical to clinical development
Develop and manage external collaborations with academic institutions, CROs, and biotech/pharma partners to strengthen ADC and platform capabilities
Represent the company as a scientific subject matter expert at external scientific meetings and conferences
Qualification
Required
Ph.D., or Master's degree with 4 additional years in immunology, oncology, molecular biology, pharmacology or related discipline, with 10+ years of experience in research and development in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
5 years experience in a project leadership role in biotech or pharma
Experience advancing ADC candidates and/or IO platforms from discovery through IND submission
Expertise in ADC biology, payload mechanisms, immuno-oncology and pharmacology
Strong understanding of translational biology, biomarkers, and mechanisms of resistance in ADC therapy
Experience with regulatory requirements for IND-enabling studies
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and team management and collaboration skills
Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
Strong publication and/or patent record and experience presenting at scientific conferences
Preferred
Experience in managing external contract research organizations and collaborations
Knowledge of emerging ADC targets and platforms, and immuno-oncology platforms
