The Agricultural Lender will serve as a trusted guide for borrowers throughout the commercial lending process, structuring and underwriting agricultural loans while managing a loan portfolio and building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities
Play a key role in strengthening brand recognition while increasing market presence by engaging with community members who can benefit from the products and services offered with a focus on agricultural lending activities
Serve as a trusted guide for borrowers throughout the commercial lending process, from preparing and submitting loan applications through closing
Structure and underwrite agricultural loans using a variety of funding and repayment options
Manage a loan portfolio for the life of the loan
Monitor draws, overdrafts, and past-due accounts
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with a focus on relationship banking
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional bank products and services that benefit customers
Work closely with lending support staff to ensure a seamless process and outstanding customer experience
Qualification
Required
Three plus years of prior experience in ag lending
Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
Strong mathematical, problem-solving and computer skills
Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policy and procedures
Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
Knowledge and understanding of loan funding options, sourcing and methodology, including USA, SBA, FSA, Farmer Mac, and SWAP
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory banking and finance compliance requirements
Willingness to proactively cross-sell bank products & services
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration
Experience in managing a portfolio of $40 million or more
Current established portfolio of lending pipeline
