Cybersecurity Awareness Analyst
Idaho National Laboratory is shaping the future of secure and resilient energy systems by enhancing cybersecurity frameworks. The Cybersecurity Awareness Analyst will develop and execute initiatives to foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness, conduct phishing simulations, create awareness materials, and analyze program metrics to improve security practices across the organization.

Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Cybersecurity Culture Initiatives Design and oversee programs that foster an organization-wide culture of cybersecurity awareness and resilience
Phishing Simulation and Remediation Design and execute phishing simulation campaigns, including scenario creation, targeting, scheduling, and post-simulation remediation. Implement automated remedial training paths for employees who fail phishing tests and manage Learning Management System (LMS) integrations
Awareness Campaigns and Events Support planning and execution of annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities and other periodic campaigns. Coordinate communications calendars, leadership messaging, and event logistics for both online and in-person engagements
Content Creation and Maintenance Create, curate, and maintain security awareness materials such as microlearning modules, e-learning courses, newsletters, posters, videos, intranet pages, and quick-reference guides. Regularly review and update training content to align with current policies and best practices
Data Analysis and Reporting Collect, track, and analyze program metrics, including phishing click rates, training completion, quiz scores, and risk-reduction KPIs. Develop executive-level dashboards and provide continuous improvement recommendations
Employee Support and Communication Serve as the front-line responder for employee cybersecurity inquiries and suspected phishing reports via the security awareness ticket queue. Escalate incidents to SOC/IR teams as needed. Communicate INL cybersecurity policies and practices effectively across the organization
Collaboration and Innovation Partner with internal teams, divisions, and departments to share cybersecurity information and best practices. Generate new ideas and campaigns to enhance cybersecurity awareness organization-wide
Qualification
Required
Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree Information Security, Communications, Education/Instructional Design a related field and 5 years of relevant experience; or Masters of Science degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience
Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree Information Security, Communications, Education/Instructional Design a related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters of Science degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience
Must be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain a DOE 'Q' clearance
Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
Strong writing and communication abilities, with attention to clarity and engagement
Working knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
Demonstrated creativity in developing compelling content and awareness campaigns
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
