Responsibilities
Perform thermal model development and/or model modification evaluating thermal profiles of various structural configurations and providing recommendations for modification or optimization
Conduct non-record thermal evaluations of configurations and joints to assess areas of challenge or potential design improvements
Develop and modify local thermal models, evaluate component-level issues, and provide technical insights and feedback to design teams to support engineering decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related accredited engineering program
5–10 years of relevant experience performing mechanical and thermal analyses, including high-temperature applications
Experience with thermal modeling of fluid-structure interfaces, including conductive, convective, and radiative heat transfer
Preferred
Experience with ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 requirements
Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline
