Retail Marketing Manager
Talent Table is representing a leading entertainment streaming service seeking a Retail Marketing Manager to lead retail strategy for Target. The role involves developing and executing retail strategies that align with the company's brand goals while fostering partnerships with key retail partners.
Responsibilities
Experience in conceptualizing, pitching, and executing a retail strategy for Target (Target experience is required; department store channel experience is a plus)
Align retail strategies with the business objectives, category priorities, and long-term brand goals
Work closely with global teams (Licensing, Product Development and Creative, Marketing, Merchandise Brand Strategy, etc.) to deliver best‑in‑class programs across categories, including but not limited to toys, collectibles, apparel, beauty, food, and beverage
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (including Target’s Strategic Partnerships team), with the ambition to continue unlocking break‑frame opportunities that meet collective business objectives
Act as a champion for our retail strategy, vision, and messaging, ensuring a clear and consistent approach when communicating with internal teams and retail partners
Deep knowledge of and passion for Client properties and a creative approach to bringing them to life at retail
Ability to juggle multiple titles and pivot quickly with shifting priorities
Leverage data and insights to formulate recommendations for future programs
Ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintain high-quality, on-time delivery of retail initiatives
Demonstrate an understanding of the full retail lifecycle—from concept through execution and performance analysis
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in retail strategy, account management, licensing, or related roles, with a focus on Target
Proven experience developing and executing successful omni-channel retail strategies that drive growth and deliver results
Deep understanding of trends, consumer behavior, and global market dynamics with the ability to optimize opportunities on a global scale
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (marketing, category licensing, creative, experiences, games, etc.) and work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels
Strong network and established retail relationships, particularly with Target, with proven success navigating their complex organization
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present strategies clearly and persuasively
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and optimize business performance
Proven leadership experience in managing agencies and personnel in a fast-paced, ever‑changing environment
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple, concurrent initiatives
Preferred
Target experience is required; department store channel experience is a plus
