Responsibilities
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems
Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
Responsible for processing, statusing and assisting in the investigation of assigned certification and functional audit cards upon receipt from the government customer, which typically require fact finding facilitation, problem bounding, root cause analysis, identifying corrections to defect and cause, reviewing objective quality evidence, tracking status, writing official company responses, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Employee will also assist with metrics and will work closely with O03 SUBSAFE Program office
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Preferred
Employee should have strong communication (verbal and written) and critical-thinking skills
Employee should be inquisitive with a willingness to learn
Employee should have a desire to facilitate resolution of complex problems while working with all levels from individual contributor to director level in all functional areas of the company
Familiarity with SUBSAFE/DSS/FBW programs, root cause analysis, eForms, and SAP is a plus
