Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day Rental Asset activities and performance by tracking all fleet inventory metrics, identifying fleet trends and monitoring fleet changes. Ensure key performance indicators are met or exceeded
Produce quarterly fleet forecasts to advise and make recommendations on fleet needs and rollout plans based on the current fleet, historical trends, and future growth goals
Compile and analyze data reports regarding utilization, unit status, reservations, rate variance, slow rents, or any other metrics as requested; make actionable recommendations
Collaborate with Sales Teams to provide solutions to customer requests for rentals and sales from the fleet
Coordinate with Rental Operations teams to assess rental fleet location needs and recommend actions
Collaborate with Service Operations to approve large repairs based on equipment maintenance history, inventory needs, and asset financials
Collaborate with the Used Equipment team regarding inspections, planning, and advertising of rollout units
Collaborate with Rental Asset Coordinator and Fleet Readiness Coordinator to direct fleet adds or rollouts, ensuring efficiency and quality control of rental and sale make-ready cost and completion timeframes
Consult with vendors to obtain quotes and lead times and track delivery dates of orders
Ensure accuracy of data for machine model, configuration, warranty, memos, inventory accounts, category groups, acquisition cost, and any additional viable information by asset
Review group level and individual asset maintenance metrics regarding performance and work orders, ensuring accuracy; act as needed
Maintain an active diligence in finding process improvements to increase efficiency in all processes
Implement all policies, procedures, short-term/long-term departmental strategies and goals
Ensure compliance to all local, state, federal and/or company policies, procedures, and/or regulations
Monitor and manage budget within scope of responsibility
Build and maintain relationships to enhance networking reach within all Warren CAT Sales, Service, and Rental teams
Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees at all levels
Provide prompt response to incoming calls, voice messages, and emails
Directly supervise multiple employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting expectations, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promptly addressing issues and resolving problems; building a cohesive, safe and fun culture / environment within the Rental organization

Required

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and 3-5 years' experience in the equipment industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient fleet inventory forecasting skills
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite, internal systems and web-based systems)
Intermediate problem-solving, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, relationship building, communication, leadership and influencing skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
Professionalism and diplomacy to approach others and manage emotional or ambiguous situations with clarity and self-control
