Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts, including but not limited to Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, and 990
Prepare extensions, tax projections, and quarterly estimated tax payments
Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting
Input, research, and correct transactions in QuickBooks Online; perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and generate financial statements
Assist in managing client relationships and support tax managers with client communications and tax planning initiatives
Collaborate with wealth advisors to coordinate integrated, tax-efficient strategies
Research tax issues and clearly communicate findings, including responses to inquiries and notices from taxing authorities
Identify and recommend tax planning opportunities through a comprehensive understanding of client business operations and personal financial circumstances
Provide support to colleagues on tax software and accounting platforms
Contribute to the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and firm-wide processes
Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects while consistently meeting deadlines with a high level of precision
Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and pursue ongoing professional education
Offer insights and recommendations to enhance firm policies, workflows, and operational effectiveness

Required

Active CPA certification required
Minimum of five years of client-facing public accounting experience
Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and collaborative teamwork
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand client concerns and deliver appropriate solutions

Preferred

Experience preparing business tax returns strongly preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks, UltraTax, Salesforce or other CRM systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Outlook preferred
