Responsibilities
Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods
Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts
Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency
Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
Qualification
Required
Experience in Aerospace, Automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience in metal fabrication, welding and/or brazing of pressure containing products
Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear or Automotive or other similar
