Online Instructional Designer

Landmark College is seeking an Online Instructional Designer to collaborate with the Co-Director for LC Online Undergraduate Programs in designing and developing online courses. The role focuses on creating inclusive and accessible learning experiences for neurodivergent learners, ensuring timely course delivery and revisions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Co-Director for LC Online Undergraduate Programs to determine schedules for new course development and course revisions
Create and revise online courses in collaboration with a subject matter expert (SME)
Apply learning theory/research and related technologies in the creation and delivery of credit and non-credit bearing courses for neurodivergent learners
Copy and prepare courses for reoffering each semester
Identify higher education and industry trends and best practices for inclusion and access
Identify and implement efficiencies in online course design and delivery
Assist with the management of the online dual enrollment program
Perform basic office duties
Other duties as assigned

Required

A bachelor's degree in education, learning design, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field is required
Experience in instructional design principles and instructional strategies is essential
Expertise across the Microsoft Office Suite and expertise using the Canvas LMS is required
Familiarity with online accessibility guidelines is needed
The position demands strong interpersonal and organizational skills
The candidate must be able to quickly develop an understanding of (a) Landmark College's cultural climate, (b) Universal Design pedagogical practices, and (c) neurodivergent student profiles
This individual must also be able to work collaboratively with Landmark College faculty and staff
