Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to plan and implement software solutions that help drive business culture and success
Design and implement new software features and maintain existing ones to ensure reliability and performance
Participate in making team commitments and collaborating to deliver on them within an Agile framework
Adhere to company architectural standards and software development best practices
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and participate in quality assurance efforts
Engage in peer code reviews, willingly incorporating team feedback and providing thoughtful feedback to others
Write code that is easy to understand and can be considered self-documenting, providing additional documentation when necessary
Involve technical leadership in the solution design process where appropriate to ensure scalability and quality
Keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends to continuously improve your skills
Help in the recruiting and hiring of engineering team members
Qualification
Required
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
0+ years of professional experience in back-end web development
Experience in a general purpose programming language including but not limited to: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, or Python, with interest and ability to learn other programming languages
Experience working with data structures and algorithms
Legal authorization to work in the US and professional proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred
A professional, hands-on, team-oriented attitude with sound judgment and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate and receive feedback
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code
The ability to break down complex problems into simpler ones and implement readable solutions
Familiarity with relational databases and an understanding of how to write efficient queries
