Responsibilities

Assess, interpret, and anticipate community needs to develop strategies, programs, and services that effectively address those needs
Oversee the implementation, management, and evaluation of all library programs to ensure quality and impact
Establish, develop, and maintain strong community partnerships with other organizations and groups in the community
Manage outreach services to underserved populations, expanding accessibility and engagement
Play a pivotal role in measuring the effectiveness and impact of library programs while continuously seeking innovative approaches to improve program delivery
Develop a sustainable growth strategy that enhances the quality, appeal, and reach of library programs over time
Represent the Library in collaboration with external agencies, organizations, and community groups to increase awareness and engagement
Oversee the preparation and administration of the Division’s budget, including forecasting staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies needs, while monitoring expenditures
Seek out grant opportunities and manage submissions to expand resources that support library programs and community initiatives

Required

Masters degree in Business, Public Administration or Library Services related area
Four (4) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience including three (3) years in a supervisory or management role preferably in a government setting
Experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing programs and community engagement initiatives
Experience in administering budgets
Experience in grant writing
