Building Development Project Manager
Prince William County’s Department of Development Services is seeking a Development Project Manager to deliver results in a project-oriented culture. The role involves managing commercial real estate development projects and ensuring compliance with building regulations and codes.

Facilitate a Multi-Disciplinary Team, Early Assistance, and Issue Resolution Meetings
Serve as the Project Management Branch Representative on Process Action Teams
Maintain accurate project records
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience (Development Project Manager, Plans Reviewer, Construction Inspector and/or Code Enforcement Inspector)
Must become certified by the State of Virginia as a Technical Assistant to the Building Official within 18 months of employment, which includes the Virginia Certified Commercial Plans Reviewer
Must complete a DMV background check as a condition of employment
Preferred
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Demonstrated experience managing processes, projects, and process improvement teams
Thorough knowledge of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC)
Demonstrated ability to apply building code exemptions and exceptions to projects
Experience as a Project Manager, Plans Reviewer, and Construction/Code Enforcement Inspector
