Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP ETDP / Excise Tax architecture for a global Oil & Gas implementation
Design and oversee Excise Tax, Tariffs, and Duties processes across multiple regions
Act as the ETDP subject matter expert for:
Excise movement control
Tax calculation
Reporting and compliance
Integration with logistics and finance
Own solution design, architecture documentation, and technical governance
Work closely with:
SAP Functional teams (SD, MM, FI)
Tax and compliance stakeholders
Integration and development teams
Drive ETDP configuration and integration with:
SAP S/4HANA
GTS / Global Trade
Finance and Logistics modules
Ensure compliance with European excise regulations, including:
EMCS
Movement types
Tax warehouse processes
Support testing, defect resolution, and go-live readiness
Provide guidance to offshore and onshore teams
Participate in design workshops and client discussions as the ETDP authority
Qualification
Required
10+ years of SAP experience, with strong focus on Excise Tax / ETDP
Hands-on ETDP experience is mandatory
Proven experience working on large-scale, global SAP implementations
Strong knowledge of SAP ETDP (Excise Tax Data Processing)
Excise duties, tariffs, and tax compliance
Oil & Gas industry tax flows
Deep expertise in European TDP / Excise processes
Experience with SAP S/4HANA
Integration with FI, MM, SD
Tax reporting and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of cross-border movement
Duty suspension
Excise reporting and audits
Experience working in global delivery models
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
