Associate Director of Revenue
Henderson Scott US is a top tier, AmLaw 100 international law firm seeking an Associate Director of Revenue to join their US team. This role involves overseeing the US Billing & Collections operations while collaborating with senior leadership and the global finance team to enhance client service delivery and financial performance.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing U.S. Billing & Collections team with oversight of inventory management across multiple offices and practice areas
Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and partners to enhance client service delivery, financial performance, and operational discipline
Drive accountability and service excellence through clear performance expectations, data-driven insights, and proactive issue escalation
Support leadership committees with timely, actionable reporting on billing trends, collections performance, discounts, and write-offs
Oversee end-to-end billing and collections operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with firm policies and client requirements
Establish standardized processes, controls, and performance metrics across offices to ensure consistency and scalability
Monitor inventory health and partner engagement to proactively address aging, reserves, and write-offs
Collaborate with pricing and rate management stakeholders to ensure client agreements, alternative fee arrangements, and exception rates are properly authorized and implemented
Partner with eBilling and compliance teams to manage submissions, resolve rejections, and improve realization
Partner with IT and project management teams to enhance and optimize financial and client lifecycle systems (e.g., enterprise billing and practice management platforms)
Leverage dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to track performance, identify trends, and support leadership decision-making
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process redesign, and emerging technologies (including AI-enabled tools)
Ad hoc responsibilities & special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience within Law Firm environment (preferably AmLaw 100 / AmLaw 200 or similar)
3+ years of people management experience - ideally managing supervisors/managers
Experience identifying areas of improvement and implementing strategic change
Strong technical experience (systems, Excel, AI, etc.)
Excellent communication (written & verbal)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience with Aderant/Elite/3E - Aderant preferred
