Responsibilities
PERFORM A VARIETY OF DUTIES (PRIMARILY ASSIGNED TO WET LAB TESTING DUTIES) TO GENERATE HIGH QUALITY TESTING DATA FOR CERTIFICATION. THESE DUTIES INCLUDE FOLLOWING STRICT WRITTEN PROCEDURES, SAMPLE PREPARATION, TESTING, AND REPORTING OF TEST RESULTS DATA INTO THE LABORATORY INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LIMS)
ASSIST IN ROUTINE LABORATORY OPERATIONS AND/OR PERFORM OTHER ROUTINE LABORATORY WORK AS DIRECTED
PERFORM NORMAL MECHANICAL SERVICING AND MINOR REPAIRS OF TESTING EQUIPMENT
MAINTAIN WORK AREAS IN A CLEAN, SAFE AND ORDERLY CONDITION
Qualification
Required
Perform a variety of duties (primarily assigned to wet lab testing duties) to generate high quality testing data for certification
Follow strict written procedures
Sample preparation
Testing
Reporting of test results data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Assist in routine laboratory operations and/or perform other routine laboratory work as directed
Perform normal mechanical servicing and minor repairs of testing equipment
Maintain work areas in a clean, safe and orderly condition
Math Skills (including decimals, fractions, rounding, averaging, and recognizing number patterns)
Time Management Skills
Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Measuring Skills
Computer Skills
Preferred
Two-year technical degree, advanced high school education in Chemistry, or 1 year of related work experience
