EHR Applications Analyst - Dental Informatics
The University of Oklahoma is seeking an EHR Applications Analyst to assist in the development and support of an Electronic Health Record system. The role involves optimizing workflow processes and providing support for healthcare applications while fostering strong relationships with users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions
Develops, configures, and modifies moderately complex information systems
Creates documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflows
Designs, codes, configures, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains program applications
Coordinates all testing phases of associated applications during implements and upgrades
Supports existing functionality with future expansion to additional areas
Develops strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners
Utilizes best practices for use within the organization
Provides hands-on training as needed for end users
Serves as a key onsite EHR IT resource for facility implementation and support of a broad set of healthcare applications
Act as project manager for low to medium complex projects
Provides second level support as a broad EHR subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests
Serves as project leader for implementations of EHR applications software releases and new products
Works with the team to lead, monitor, and facilitate new module application testing
Provides input to policies and procedures, training, and best practices for use within the organization and works with the team and facility core team members to deliver hands-on training as needed
Participates in meetings as a member of organizational leadership as required
Builds strong relationships with core customer base and facility leadership
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
12 months applicable IT or clinical experience
Ability to work independently and within teams
Ability to solve complex problems and understand customer needs
Strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology
Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology
Preferred
Dental or orthodontic business process experience preferred
Prefer candidates with additional experience working with database queries and/or Power BI
