CS&O Part-Time College Program

Sentry is seeking motivated college students for their Part-Time College Student Program within the Customer Service & Operations (CS&O) organization. This program provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and exposure to the insurance industry while serving as the first contact for claims and providing technical support for processing claims.

Responsibilities

Serve as first contact for claims, handling phone, online, and mail submissions, meeting call KPIs, collaborating in team huddles, learning Sentry units, and job shadowing
Work with a team to successfully meet department phone Key Performance Indicators
Process claims for policyholders, claimants and others over the phone
Assist with processing claims that are received over the internet/mail
Participate in weekly team huddles and associate engagement activities
Attend informational overviews of various business units within the Sentry organization
Gain the opportunity to job shadow / network based on career interest

Required

Must be enrolled full-time at UW-Stevens Point or Mid-State Technical College
Must have 2-4 semesters left before graduation upon start date
Available for 15-19 hours per week during the semester with the potential of up to 40 hours during summer or school breaks
Display leadership potential
Demonstrated learning mindset — actively seeks feedback, embraces new challenges, and shows a willingness to develop new skills, and gain industry knowledge
Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Strong punctuality and dependability
Solid verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Spanish-speaking bilingual skills a plus- with additional compensation
