Responsibilities
You’ll develop a talent plan based on individual store and/or market needs, demonstrating ownership and accountability over succession planning
You’ll proactively invest in and develop internal talent, encouraging associates to consider their career development and the avenues to achieve it
You lead consistent execution of operational, merchandising and selling strategies, employing nimble and positive changes based on insights from business analysis and thoughtful observations
As the strategic mind behind your territory, you identify themes in customer feedback and share back ideas and insights with peers across the zone
You’ll take ownership of your goals and act with purpose and drive to achieve them, mindful of their impact on Famous’s overall performance
You’ll create a work and team environment where diversity and inclusivity are valued as our team superpower, ensuring each associate feels included and respected
You’ll maintain a positive and proactive mindset, particularly when facing difficult situations, setting a winning example for others to follow
As a leader you objectively assess situations, considering a variety of informed perspectives to make well informed decisions

Qualification
Required
Some college required
5+ years of retail store management experience, multi-store experience preferred
Builds constructive and effective relationships within stores and with corporate partners
Demonstrates an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals
Demonstrates an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with corporate partners and store associates at all levels
Ability to train, coach and develop managers
Must exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion partnering with Zone Sales Director as needed
Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
Ability to influence at all levels, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in driving successful management strategies
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
