Administrative Assistant

Garfield County Govt. is seeking an Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of complex clerical, administrative, and receptionist duties in support of the County Administration Department and Board of County Commissioners. The role involves providing customer service, managing correspondence, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Uses computer and software applications to accurately type and edit correspondence; enter data; retrieve data; search databases; conduct research; create documents; and send emails
Answers and routes telephone calls appropriately greets caller, assesses situation. Takes accurate messages and completes transaction
Assists the public and/or employees at front counter appropriately greets visitors; answers routine questions; locates documents; fills out forms; makes copies; provide directions
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information maintaining confidentiality
Processes incoming and outgoing mail
Prints, copies, assembles, distributes, and files documents
Schedules appointments, meetings, and meeting rooms
Assists with preparing and arranging for publication of agendas and/or legal notices
Creates spreadsheets, PowerPoints, and other formal presentations
May take minutes at Board and/or Commission meetings
Provides the public, employees, and vendors with directions and other customer services
Composes correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other materials requiring independent judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness
Acts as back up for Executive Assistant as requested
Prepares Board agendas, support materials, and meeting packets
Assist with registering employees and providing travel arrangements
Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining office equipment
Other duties as assigned

Required
