Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer
Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan is seeking an Executive Assistant to the President & CEO who will provide high-level administrative and organizational support. The role involves managing the CEO's calendar, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and supporting board and leadership meetings.

Responsibilities
Partner with the President & CEO as a trusted advisor, managing information and competing priorities with excellent judgment
Act as a thoughtful filter between leadership and internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders
Anticipate needs, learn quickly, and provide proactive support that enables strategic focus
Manage a complex, dynamic calendar with strategic clarity
Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring clear purpose, preparation, and follow-through
Balance multiple competing demands while maintaining accuracy and supporting long-term priorities alongside urgent needs
Provide administrative and logistical support for Board and committee meetings, materials, scheduling, and follow-up
Support executive leadership meetings, retreats, and cross-functional initiatives
Draft and manage correspondence on behalf of the President & CEO with professionalism and care
Exercise high emotional intelligence when managing sensitive, urgent, or emotionally charged situations
Track deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up items across multiple priorities and stakeholders
Maintain organized records, files, and systems to support executive effectiveness
Manage calendars, communications, documents, and workflows using technology skillfully
Adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and processes
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years supporting senior executives (President, CEO, or equivalent)
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc.)
High level of proficiency with virtual meeting platforms
Preferred
Nonprofit sector or mission-driven organization experience strongly preferred
