InternDeepiri is an independent GitHub AI research and development group focused on advancing modular microservice architectures, generative intelligence, and adaptive human–AI interaction. The intern will support the development, maintenance, and testing of FastAPI-based microservices and backend systems powering their AI platform and research environments.

Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain FastAPI endpoints and microservices for AI integrations
Implement and validate API schemas using Pydantic models
Write integration tests and ensure reliability across LLM, orchestration, and data service endpoints
Assist in debugging, logging, and observability improvements for backend services
Collaborate with engineers and researchers to support new feature development and experimentation
Participate in code reviews and contribute to internal tooling and automation scripts
Qualification
Required
Strong interest in backend development, API design, and AI-integrated systems
Experience or coursework in Python and web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and basic async programming concepts
Ability to work independently in a remote, GitHub-based development workflow
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred
Exposure to testing frameworks such as pytest is a plus
Interest in AI/ML systems, LLM APIs, or microservice architecture is helpful
