Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the smooth and effective operations of the clerical duties (including but not limited to typing, filing, copying/faxing, answering telephone, office supply inventory/ordering and maintaining departmental daily statistics), admission/registration, patient scheduling and benefits verification aspects of the Outpatient Physical Rehab Clinic
You will also provide the PAS preregistration and registration of new patients for the Outpatient Physical Rehab Unit
Organizes, coordinates, and performs all aspects of front office functions including reception/registration, insurance, patient check in/out, billing and collections interface
You may be responsible for handling medical record requests and other assigned tasks deemed appropriate to the operations of the department and the qualifications and or competency of the individual
You will collaborate with other departments, including PAS to ensure optimal customer service
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED required
Experience in interacting with customers/patients in a service-oriented setting is required
Ability to type and use a personal computer at an intermediate level
Preferred
Experience working in a medical facility with registration and/or insurance billing is preferred
Insurance/payor Practices And Requirements Preferred
Excellent communication and customer service and patient relation skills
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Good organization and time-management skills
