Responsibilities

Coordination of administrative support functions for a range of grant funded projects
Evaluates and provides recommendations related to operational and procedural matters and work procedures
Coordinates and executes large scale, projects with broad, visible impact which involve overseeing coordination with other departments and research partners outside of SSU
Identifying needs, planning projects, coordinating and delegating work and seeing a project through initiation, execution, coordination, implementation and evaluation
Performs a variety of administrative tasks in the day-to-day operations of the department office
Serves as a central resource person to students, faculty, and staff, and the community

Required

High school degree or technical/vocational program degree
Minimum of two to three years administrative work experience involving program administration and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development of improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is required
Must be willing and able to learn technical software as needed
Proficient in navigating the internet and in the daily use of e-mail

Preferred

Previous experience in a fast-paced and complex academic office
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Google Suite and People Soft
Experience as well as skills in website development and desktop publishing
