The Sustainability Communications Intern will support key communication initiatives and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs, providing hands-on experience with content development, community engagement, and sustainability data collection.

Responsibilities
Write, edit, and proofread internal announcements, intranet posts, web copy, press releases, presentations, and social media content using AP style
Publish updates to the company’s internal and external web platforms and coordinate technical support when needed
Collect and analyze environmental data including water usage, energy consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions
Support ESG and sustainability reporting efforts through data collection, validation, and preparation of internal and external reports
Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact
Participate in and coordinate community volunteer events aligned with the company’s Community Affairs strategy
Track media mentions and assist on additional communication and ESG projects
Support creation and management of SharePoint resources related to sustainability
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a bachelor's program in Communications, Journalism, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop clear, concise content
Passion for sustainability and corporate responsibility
Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving abilities
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
Familiarity with AP style is a plus
