Client Controller
AKRE & Associates is a financial services company seeking a Financial Services Client Controller to manage a team of Accounting Consultants. The Controller will oversee financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring quality control and risk management procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
Financial close and reporting
Cash analysis and management
Annual budget development and forecasting
Maintain relationships with internal and external auditors
Provide insight to the client’s Executive Team on business decisions
Collaborate with client’s operational areas for improvement opportunities
Supervise Accounting Consultants
Determine resource requirements, monitor progress against budget and timeframe, review work completed by team members and resolve all project issues
Ensure services rendered adhere to the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures
Recruit, manage and develop team members
Request feedback from clients and act promptly to improve client service
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Advance firm customer experience reputation with external and internal clients
Partner with Business Consultants to support and enhance the client experience
Identify and advise on business partnering to develop strategic relationships to create opportunities, improve performance and solve business problems
Apply appropriate leadership strategies to deliver business objectives effectively
Act proactively and think strategically, in anticipating organizational needs, recognizing the wider business environment and dynamics
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
