Responsibilities
Providing technical assistance to computer system users
Answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations
Providing assistance in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, office productivity software, electronic mail, and operating systems
Supporting the department’s information technology network
Demonstrating basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of a PC
Applying knowledge and understanding of PC fundamentals in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing PCs
Demonstrating basic knowledge and understanding of networking concepts
Applying knowledge and understanding of networking concepts in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing of workstations in a network environment
Interfacing with internal/external customers to provide information, explain procedures, answer questions, and provide support
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of a PC
Apply knowledge and understanding of PC fundamentals in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing PC's
Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of networking concepts
Apply knowledge and understanding of networking concepts in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing of workstations in a network environment
Interface with internal/external customers in order to provide information, explain procedures, answer questions and provide support
Sedentary work and repetitive motion
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position
