DevOps and Network Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Rancher in on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments
Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
Implement GitOps workflows and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using modern observability tools
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and runtime issues
Design and manage Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress controllers, service meshes)
Configure load balancers, DNS, routing, and network segmentation for container platforms
Implement network security controls including firewalls, TLS, RBAC, and zero-trust principles
Secure Kubernetes clusters in alignment with best practices and compliance requirements
Support hybrid and multi-cloud networking architectures
Deploy and manage infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or on-prem environments
Use Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) to standardize deployments
Collaborate with application teams to ensure platform reliability and performance
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with Rancher and Kubernetes
Solid understanding of Linux system administration
Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, VPNs)
Experience with container technologies (Docker, containerd)
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools
Preferred
Experience with Kubernetes security frameworks and benchmarks
Familiarity with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd)
Experience managing multi-cluster or multi-tenant Kubernetes environments
Cloud certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki)
