Responsibilities

Resolve structural problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking balanced system solutions and ensuring engineering excellence with minimal supervisor oversight
Review and approve product definition data
Generate development hardware designs that meet objectives and facilitate on-schedule delivery
Process technically sound engineering changes within schedule that meet performance metrics
Utilize standard work and CORE/ACE tools to continuously improve the design process
Mentor other engineers in process-related and technical subjects
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles
Possess direct experience with structural analysis and electronic packaging
Understand hardware and manufacturing methods
Proficient with engineering analysis tools
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
Communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Preferred

Working knowledge of environmental testing equipment, procedures, and qualification activities (e.g., RTCA DO-160 or MIL-STD-810G)
Familiarity with the design and manufacturing processes of CCAs and metal housings
An active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
