The role involves site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater management while providing opportunities for hands-on experience and growth toward becoming a Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Support design of site civil plans including grading, drainage, stormwater, water, sewer, and erosion control

Assist with site layout and plan production (base mapping, plan & profile sheets, details)

Run calculations for stormwater management (hydrology/hydraulics) and prepare supporting exhibits

Coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders (survey, utilities, architects, agencies)

Help prepare permit submittals and respond to plan review comments

Compile project documentation and assist with technical reports as needed

Participate in occasional site visits to observe construction progress and support field questions

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related)

0–4 years of experience (internship/co-op experience counts) in land development/site civil

Familiarity with grading, drainage, and utility design concepts

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or ability to ramp quickly)

Strong communication, organization, and willingness to learn

Preferred

EIT certification or on track to obtain it

Exposure to stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD, ICPR, SWMM, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS)

Experience with permitting processes and coordinating with municipalities/agencies

Understanding of erosion & sediment control and construction sequencing
